Horner adds two assistants to coaching staff
July 25, 2023Johnson County Community College head baseball coach Eric Horner announced the additions of Zach Baxley and Joe Costanzo to his coaching staff for 2023-24. Baxley will serve as the Cavaliers outfield and hitting coach and Costanzo will work with the infielders and hitters. -

July 11, 2023Former Johnson County Community College right-handed pitcher Paul Rector has begun his professional career with the Sioux City Explorers of the American Association of Professional Baseball after signing his pro contract on July 6. -

June 27, 2023Wichita State head baseball coach Brian Green recently announced that Johnson County Community College assistant coach Anthony Miller will be joining his staff for 2023-24. He will serve as the Shockers’ hitting and outfield coach. -
Left-hand pitcher Luc Fladda named ABCA/Rawlings All-American
June 23, 2023– Selected as a second-team All-American by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) last week, Johnson County sophomore left-handed pitcher Luc Fladda was recently named a second-team All-American by the American Baseball Coaches Association and Rawlings Sporting Goods in conjunction with the NJCAA. -

June 13, 2023The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) announced its 2023 Baseball Division I All-America team yesterday, and Johnson County sophomore left-hand pitcher Luc Fladda was tabbed to the second-team of the 54-man squad. He becomes the 16th player in team history to be selected All-American, and the fourth pitcher in team history. -

April 23, 2023The No. 6-ranekd Johnson County baseball team completed a four-game series sweep over Cowley Saturday in dominating fashion, winning both games by the score of 9-0. This was the first series win over Cowley since the 1999 season, and first series sweep since 1989. -

March 31, 2023The No. 8-ranked Johnson County baseball team split a doubleheader with Allen Community College on Thursday at Iola, Kan., taking the first game 8-2 before dropping the rubber game, 8-0. The Cavaliers now stand 29-5 overall and 13-1 in East Jayhawk Conference play. -

JCCC baseball completes sweep over KCKCC to remain undefeated in conference play
March 27, 2023After taking the first two games in the series with Kansas City Kansas on Thursday, the No. 8-ranked Johnson County baseball team completed the four-game sweep over the Blue Devils on Saturday afternoon at Kansas City, Kan. The Cavaliers won 6-4 and 12-2 to improve to 27-4 on the season and remain unbeaten in conference play 12-0.
