    The Johnson County men’s soccer team moved one victory away from punching their ticket to the NJCAA Men’s Soccer Championships after posting a 2-0 shutout over University of Arkansas Rich Mountain last night at Stryker Sports Complex in Wichita, Kan.

    The Johnson County Community College men’s soccer team moved a step closer to qualifying for the NJCAA National Tournament. The Cavaliers defeated Neosho County Community College 2-1 on Friday, Nov. 1, and move on to the Plains District Tournament at Stryker Sports Complex in Wichita, Kan., Wednesday, Nov. 6.

On Wednesday, Sept. 25, JCCC freshman forward Jose Carcomo fired a game-winning shot in 109th minute past the Panther’s keeper for 2-1 victor over No. 13-ranked Neosho County

    The Johnson County Community College men’s soccer team won three big matches last week to push them to the top of the Kansas Jayhawk Conference standings. Two players who were key in those victories for freshman forward Ramon Bravo and sophomore goalkeeper Pedro Ivaskoski, and the conference recognized their efforts by awarding them the player and goalkeeper of the week for week 5.

Johnson County open the weekend with a 3-0 shutout over Coffeyville on Saturday afternoon, and followed up on Sunday with a thrilling 2-1 double overtime win over Southwestern Illinois.
