OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The Kansas Jayhawk Conference announced it weekly award winners for the seventh week of the season, and Johnson County freshman forward Alan Lopez was named the KJCCC D-I Men's Soccer Player of the Week. 

In Johnson County's 8-2 win over Hesston last week, freshman forward Alan Lopez provided the assist on the Cavaliers' first four goals, then scored the fifth goal, to give him a season high six points in a single game.  His four assists tied both a school and Kansas Jayhawk Conference record for most assists in a game. For the season, Lopez leads the conference with eight assists, is tied for fourth in goals scored with six and is third in points with 20. 

The Cavaliers are in action on Wednesday, October 6, when they host No. 11-ranked Coffeyville Community College at 7 p.m.
