OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Two days after being held scoreless for the first time this season, Johnson County freshman forward KK Jackson-Morris poured in a game-high 21 points to lead the No. 9 Lady Cavaliers to an 88-40 road win over Hesston College, Wednesday night.

Jackson-Morris hit 10-of-16 shots, including one 3-pointer, putting her 0-for-6 effort against No. 16 Labette behind her. She also pulled down six rebounds and dished out three assists. She is the team's leading scorer this season at 14.3 per game, and second-leading rebounder at 6.0 per game.

Sophomore guard Jacionna Stowers also finished with 21 points all from the 3-point line. She hit 7-of-17 long range jumpers to bring her season total to 84, which ranks sixth in the NJCAA. She also upped her career total to 179, second-most all-time at JCCC and 10 shy of tying the mark set by Kylee Williams last year.

Sophomore guard Paige Elston also finished in double digits scoring with 14 points. She was 5-of-12 with a trey and was one of three Lady Cavaliers to register eight rebounds. The other two were freshman forward Julia Johnson and sophomore forward Sydni Tears, who also contributed four points.

Freshman guards Brandi Thibeaux and Christen Curry also had solid efforts off the bench with each contributing six points.

With the win coupled with Kansas City Kansas' loss at Highland, the Lady Cavaliers have put themselves in a position to earn a share of the Kansas Jayhawk D-II Conference title with a win at No. 4-ranked KCKCC on Saturday afternoon.
