OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – For the second time this season. Johnson County Community College sophomore Halle Brin has been selected the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference MTXE Softball Pitcher of the Week, earning the week 12 honor. She also was selected in week five. 

Last week, Brin picked up two win in Johnson County's sweep of Kansas City Kansas Community College in the first round of the Region VI playoffs. In the opening game, Brin pitched a one-hit shutout over five innings and struck out nine batters. She entered the second game in relief and pitched the final 2 2/3 innings to earn the win. She allowed just two hits, an unearned run and struck out three batters.
