Cavaliers remain No. 1 in NJCAA men’s basketball For the first time in Johnson County men’s basketball history, the Cavaliers are the No. 1 team in consecutive weeks. JCCC (6-0) received all 10 first place votes to remain the top-ranked team in NJCAA D-II men’s basketball.
Mays named the KJCCC Men’s D-II Player of the Week Johnson County Community College sophomore guard JaQuaylon Mays averaged 13.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 2.7 steals and shot 57 percent from the field while leading the No. 1-ranked Lady Cavaliers to three of victories last week. That effort earned the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for week 3.
