Six in double figures as No. 3 JCCC rolls past North Central Missouri, 83-55

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Six Cavaliers scored in double figures as No. 3-ranked Johnson County rolled to an 83-55 win at No. 23 North Central Missouri Tuesday night, improving to 23-0 on the season.

Johnson County built a 10-point halftime lead before dominating the second half to cruise to the 28-point victory, the second-largest margin of victory in the series against the Pirates on their home court.

The Cavaliers shot 54 percent from the field and limited Norh Central Missouri to just 38 percent shooting while also winning the rebounding battle, 39-28.

Freshman guard Avian Webb came off the bench to lead JCCC with 18 points on 8-of-12 shooting, including two 3-pointers. Freshman guard Trey Fulcher followed with 15 points and led the team with nine rebounds and three assists.

Sophomore guard Joey Robinson and freshman forward Bryce Walker each added 12 points. Sophomore guard Aidan Wing scored in double figures for the 19th time this season, finishing with 11 points and eight rebounds, while sophomore guard Gavin Harvey chipped in 10 points.

Deng Gak and James Porter III scored 11 points apiece to lead North Central Missouri.

Johnson County returns to conference action Saturday, Feb. 7, when the host Highland Community College. Opening tip is scheduled for 4 p.m.
