OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The No. 3-ranked Johnson County men's basketball team dominated the opening 20 minutes and then cruised to a 97-59 victory over Neosho County in its final regular season home game while celebrating Sophomore Day.
Aidan Wing led the five sophomores with 16 points on 4-of-7 shooting, including a pair of 3-pointers and six free throws. Joey Robinson recorded his fourth double-double of the season with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Gavin Harvey added 10 points, seven assists and three steals while Tavian Cruse fell three points shy of his 32nd career double-double, finishing with seven points and game-high 13 rebounds. Aziz Jagne contributed seven points and four boards off the bench for the Cavaliers.
Freshman Avian Webb finished with 13 points, six assists and three steals, and freshman Bryce Walker added seven points and five boards.
Neosho County was led by Champ Powakee with 13 points.
The Cavaliers shot 51.4 percent from the field while holding the Panthers to 34.9 percent.
The Cavaliers will look to complete the season unbeaten on Wednesday, February 25, when they travel to Allen Community College for their final regular season game.
