JCCC’s Puccio named KJCCC D-II Softball Player of the Week

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Johnson County Community College sophomore outfielder Haley Puccio has been selected the Division II Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Softball Player of the Week for week seven. She is the second JCCC player to be honored this season, joining Kyla Etter, who was named Pitcher of the  Week in week two. 

Puccio batted .471 (8-for-104) in four games last weekend, with two doubles, a triple, a home run, five runs scored and five driven in. She also stole a base. In the field she was perfect, recording five putouts and three assists with no errors.

For the season, Puccio is batting .425 (17-for-40) with six doubles, two triples, two homers, 12 runs and 12 RBI. 

In the COVID shortened season of 2020, Puccio batted .222 (2-for-9) with a double, a run and two RBI.  She was a 6A first-team All-State outfielder at Mill Valley and a two-time All-Eastern Kansas League selection.
