OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – For the fourth time this season, Johnson County sophomore pitcher Jordan Harrison has been selected the Kansas Jayhawk Conference Division II Pitcher of the Week. She also earned the honor in weeks six, seven and 10.
Last week, the right-hander from St. Marys, Kan., ran her record to 14-1 on the season with two complete-game victories, highlighted by a perfect game in a 12-0 win over Hesston on April 19. It was just the seventh perfect game thrown in team history. She followed with a complete-game win at Highland on April 22, allowing four runs off three hits with 13 strikeouts in six innings of work. In the second game against the Scotties, she came in a closed out the game, allowing just a walk with two strikeouts in 1.1 innings pitched.
With just two weeks remaining in the regular season, Harrison currently leads the conference in ERA (1.25), ranks second in wins (14) and complete games (13), and ranks third in strikeouts (126).
