OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - Johnson County Community College freshman outfielder Kennedy Glassford has been named the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division II Softball Player of the Week for week six.

Glassford carried a big bat for the Cavaliers last week to help JCCC to a 4-2 record, which included a sweep of NJCAA Division 1 Barton Community College. The freshman outfielder hit .688 and slugged 1.500 over six games, with seven of her 11 hits going for extra bases. Glassford finished the week by going 11-for-16 at the plate, with three doubles, two triples, two home runs, two walks, 11 runs scored, and 10 RBI.
