OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Johnson County head volleyball coach Jennifer Ei has added another trophy to her mantle after being selected an American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Two-Year Midwest Region Coach of the Year for the 2020-21 season.
Earlier this season, Ei was named the NJCAA National Coach of the Year after leading the Lady Cavaliers to the NJCAA Division II National Championship. She was also the NJCAA D-II National Coach of the Tournament and Kansas Jayhawk Conference D-II Coach of the Year.
Johnson County finished the season 25-2 overall, and won a conference title with an 18-2 mark, the best of her career. JCCC won its final 16 games of the season, culminated by a 3-1 win over Parkland in the NJCAA National Championship match.
Ei coached seven all-conference performers, two NJCAA All-Americans (Mikayla Powell, Gracie LaForge) and the NJCAA D-II National Player of the Year (Mikayla Powell).
