OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The Kansas Jayhawk Conference announced its weekly award winners for the second week of the season, and Johnson County sophomore Ryleigh McBurney was named the KJCCC D-II Volleyball Setter of the Week

McBurney tallied 136 assists and averaged 8.6 assists per set while helping Johnson County knock off three ranked teams, including No. 2 Parkland at the Kirkwood Invitational last week. Their only loss was to No. 1 Iowa Central. McBurney opened the Invitational with a career-high 46 assists against Iowa Central. The following day in a three-set sweep over No. 2 Parkland, she tallied 37 assists and followed with 31 in a sweep over No. 14 Lincoln Land. 

For the season, McBurney has 219 total assists and averages 7.30 assists per set. Her 219 assists rank seventh in conference standing in Division II, and her 7.30 average ranks fifth.
