OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The Kansas Jayhawk Conference announced its weekly award wines for the sixth week of the season, and Johnson County sophomore libero Maddie Steiner was named the KJCCC D-II Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week.
Steiner tallied 104 digs while helping Johnson County post a 4-1 record last week. Her high total was 30 in a five-set loss to D-I No. 2-ranked Iowa Western. That was her fourth 30+ dig effort of the season. She also tallied 5 aces.
Steiner currently ranks second in KJCCC D-II and third in the NJCAA with 386 digs. She also second in the conference in and eighth nationally in digs per set at 6.43.
