OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference recently unveiled its volleyball all-conference and all-district teams for the 2021 season, and seven members from Johnson County were among the athlete's selected recognition. These seven helped the Lady Cavaliers to a 29-6 mark, a District B Championship, and a berth in the 2021 NJCAA D-II National Tournament. 

Sophomore libero Maddie Steiner, freshmen outside/right-side hitter Dejah Miller and Jadyn Troutman earned first-team all-conference. 

Freshmen middle hitters Carly Spachman and Sydney Sample were named to the second-team, and sophomore outside hitter Alyssa Smith and sophomore Ryleigh McBurney were honorable mention selections. 

On the all-district team Steiner, Spachman, Sample and Miller earned first-team recognition. Second-team honors went to McBurney, Smith and Troutman.

Steiner leads the team and ranks third in the conference with 608 digs. Her 5.68 digs-per-set average ranks second int eh conference. Those totals also rank her 20^th and 17^th respectively in the NJCAA. Steiner has produced 31 matches with 10 or more digs, 11 with 20+ digs and four with 30+ digs. 

Miller ranks second on the team with 280 kills and leads the squad and ranks ninth in the league with a 3.04 kills-per-set average. She is also hitting .254 on the season. Miller has produced 11 matches with 10+kills highlighted by an 18-kill match in JCCC's win at NEO A&M in the first round of the District Playoffs. 

Troutman leads the team and ranks ninth in the conference with 283 kills. She also leads the team and ranks 12^th in the KJCCC with a kills-per-set average of 2.86. Her attack percentage of .258 is third in the team and eighth in the conference. Troutman has recorded double figures in kills in 13 matches, and topped 20+ twice. Her 22 kills against Jefferson are the most recorded in match this season. 

Spachman ranks third on the team in kills with 252, and fourth in kills-per-set at 2.21. She ranks second on the team, fifth in the conference and 37^th in the NJCAA with a hitting percentage of .309. She also has 46 aces with are second on the squad and eighth in the conference. Spachman has reached double digits in kills 10 times including a season-high 15 in JCCC's win at NEO A&M in the first round of the District Playoffs.

Sample has 220 kills and a kills-per-set average of 1.91, both which rank fifth on the team. She leads the team and conference with a hitting percentage of .350. She also leads the team and ranks third in the conference with 116 blocks. 

Smith ranks third on the team with 233 kills and second with 301 digs. She has topped double digits in digs 16 time, including a career-high 27 in a win over No. 8 Kirkwood in early September. She also has eight 10+ kill matches and five double-doubles. 

McBurney leads the team and ranks fifth in the conference with 817 assists, and her 7.43 assists-per-set average ranks sixth. She has registered double figures in assists in 33 of the 35 matches played to date, including 20 matches with 20+, 11 with 30+ and three with 40 or more. For her career, McBurney has 1,451 assists, which has her ranked 12^th all-time at JCCC. She also has topped double figures in assists in 61 matches.
