JCCC’s Chabot and Martin repeat as KJCCC D-II Volleyball Players of the Week

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Johnson County Community College volleyball players Campbell Chabot and Carlie Martin have become the first repeat winners of the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Division II Player of the Week awards in 2025.  Chabot repeats as the Setter of the Week, and Martin as Defensive Player of the Week.

Freshman setter Campbell Chabot kept her strong debut season rolling with two more stellar outings Friday as Johnson County Community College swept both the number 15-ranked Des Moines Area and NEO A&M at JCCC Gymnasium. Chabot opened the day with 39 assists in the victory over the Bears and followed with 30 more in the win against NEO A&M. In the match against the Golden Norse, Chabot came close to a triple-double by finishing with seven kills and seven digs in addition to running the offense. Through the Cavaliers' first eight matches of 2025, Chabot has dished out 279 assists, a commanding lead over all other setters in the KJCCC Division 2 ranks and ranks sixth among all NJCAA Division 2 volleyball players in assists.

Sophomore libero Carlie Martin was a defensive force for Johnson County Community College on Friday, collecting 44 digs to help the Cavaliers post back-to-back 3-0 sweeps over number 15-ranked Des Moines Area Community College and Northeastern Oklahoma A&M at JCCC Gymnasium. Martin tallied 19 digs in the opening win over the Bears before capping the day with a season-high 25 digs against NEO A&M. The 25-dig effort ties for the sixth-best performance of her career. Through eight matches, Martin has recorded 137 total digs, which ranks eighth among all NJCAA Division 2 players this season.
