OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The National Junior College Athletic Association announced its 2025 Volleyball Hall of Fame inductees this week, and former Johnson County Community College All-American Preecy Seever Miller was among the six selected.
Seever Miller was a standout member of the JCCC volleyball program during the 2012 and 2013 seasons. Her sophomore year remains one of the most decorated in school history. She was selected first-team All-America by both the NJCAA and the American Volleyball Coaches Association, in addition to earning first-team All-Region 6, All-East Jayhawk Conference, and Most Valuable Player honors for both the conference and her team.
In 2013, Seever Miller helped lead Johnson County to a 31-7 record and a third-place finish at the NJCAA D-II National Tournament where she was named to the All-Tournament Team after posting outstanding performances in all four matches. She recorded 65 kills in the tournament, highlighted by a .667 hitting percentage in the opening match against Hagerstown. For the tournament she hit over .500 providing a consistent offensive presence for the Cavaliers.
For the season, Seever Miller ranked second on the team with 445 kills and led the Cavaliers with an exceptional .422 hitting percentage, which ranked fourth in NJCAA Division II. Her 445 kills ranked 19th nationally and moved her into the fifth spot on JCCC single-season kills chart. She was twice honored as the KJCCC Player of the Week and was recognized as the NJCAA D-II Player of the Week in early October of that season. She closed out her career with 632 kills, 12th most all-time.
As a freshman, Seever Miller earned first-team All-Region 6 and All-KJCCC East honors.
Seever Miller saw continued success when she moved on to the next level at Rockhurst University. In her senior season, Seever Miller was named AVCA NCAA Division II National Player of the Year in which Rockhurst heled a 34-3 record. She was twice named NCAA D-II All-America, earning first-team in 2014 and 2015.
