OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Johnson County Community College freshman outfielder Jackson Galloway has been selected the Kansas Jayhawk Division I Conference Baseball  Player of the Week for week five. 

Galloway had a big week to open his 2021 season. He hit .560 (14-for-25) with two doubles, two triples, two home runs, 13 runs scored and eight driven in. He was also 3-for-3 in stolen bases.  In a 13-3 win over Southeast on Feb. 26, Galloway tied his career high by driving in five runs.  He had a single, triple and home run in that win.    

In last year's COVID shortened season, Galloway batted d.403 (25-for-62) with six doubles, four triples, two home runs, 19 runs scored and 17 driven in. His four triples led the conference and tied for eighth in the NJCAA. 

He was also an outstanding student, earning NJCAA All-Academic third-team with a grade point average between 3.60-3.79.
