OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -The No. 1-ranked Johnson County Community College baseball team continued its historic run Wednesday, claiming the first two games of a four-game series with Fort Scott Community College at JCCC and extending its program-record winning streak to 36 games.

With the pair of victories, the Cavaliers improved to 52-2 overall, further solidifying their position as the nation's No. 1 team while maintaining their dominant stretch down the final weeks of the regular season.

Johnson County set the tone early in the opener, jumping out to a five-run first inning and never looking back in a 7–3 victory. After loading the bases to open the game, the Cavaliers capitalized with timely hitting, including a two-run home run from David Dobbs that gave JCCC instant separation.

Liam Roche earned the win on the mound, improving to 12-0 on the season after striking out five over three innings of work. The Cavalier bullpen followed with steady performances, as Anson Siebert and Braylon Brooks combined to close the door. Brooks recorded his fifth save of the season.

Offensively, JCCC collected seven hits, with RBIs coming from Logan Groh, Colin Coonradt, Boston Bruce, Jack Jones, Lukas Wilson, and Dobbs, who finished with two runs driven in.

The second game of the doubleheader featured a special performance from Groh, who delivered one of the finest individual games in program history. The Johnson County third baseman went 4-for-5, completing the cycle—single, double, triple, and home run—becoming just the fifth player in JCCC baseball history to accomplish the feat.

Groh's home run highlighted a three-run middle innings surge that swung momentum back to the Cavaliers. He finished with two runs scored and two RBIs, igniting an offense that produced nine hits and seven runs.

Brayden Giesler added a two-run homer, while Bruce drove in two more as Johnson County once again showed its offensive depth.

On the mound, Ronin Vicenti improved to 9-0, striking out six in four innings. Lance Alexander provided strong middle relief, and Hudson Byrd closed out the contest with two scoreless innings to earn his first save of the season.

With the sweep, Johnson County remains unbeaten over its last 36 games and continues to build one of the most dominant seasons in program history. The Cavaliers will look to keep the momentum rolling when the series with Fort Scott concludes later in the week.
