JCCC’s Brevon Lee selected KJCCC Baseball Player of the Week

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Johnson County freshman second baseman Brevon Lee had a huge week for the now 7th ranked Cavaliers, and he was rewarded for his efforts Tuesday by being selected the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Baseball Player of the Week. Zach Nagle, a left-handed pitcher for Butler Community College, was selected pitcher of the week. 

Lee posted a batting average of .765, going 13-for-17 with three doubles, two home runs, eight runs scored and 11 driven in. He also was 5-for-5 in stolen base attempt, and was perfect in the field with six putouts and six assists. Lee also extended his hitting streak to seven games. 

For the season, Lee is hitting a .539 clip (27-for-51) with four doubles, a triple, three homers, 23 runs, 18 RBI and 19 stolen bases. He leads the conference in batting average and steals. 

Lee is the third Johnson County to be selected player of the week this season. Outfielder Jackson Galloway was the week 5 recipient, and third baseman Wyatt Morgan was selected in week 7. 

As a team, Johnson County is undefeated and off to the best start in program history at 19-0. They travel across town to face Metropolitan Community College Wednesday afternoon.
