OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) announced its week 13 award winners for baseball, and Johnson County sophomore left-hander Max Chapman was selected the Pitcher of the Week.
Chapman earned a complete game victory at Allen last weekend. He scattered four singles, walked a batter and struck out seven over five innings pitched.
This season Chapman has made 13 appearances and stand 6-3 overall with with an EERA of 3.47 and 72 strikeouts in 57.0 innings pitched. For his career Chapman stand 10-5 with 144 strikeouts, which rank him tied for fourth on JCCC's career strikeout chart.
Last season, Chapman was selected first-team all-conference and second-team all-region.
