Briggs Roe named KJCC East Baseball Player of the Week

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Johnson County Community College sophomore infielder Briggs Roe put up a huge week for the No. 12-ranked Cavaliers and was rewarded by being selected the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference East Division Player of the Week for week three. Izac Thompson of Fort Scott was named the Pitcher of the Week.

Roe hit .652 (15-for-23) with three doubles, six home runs, 12 runs scored, and 14 RBI to lead Johnson County to six victories. Even more impressive, Roe set a team record by hitting a home run in six consecutive games. He had multiple-hits and multiple-RBI in five of the six games during the week and now is hitting .545 for the season with four doubles, two triples, seven home runs and 20 RBI.
