OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – For the fourth time this season, the Johnson County Community College baseball team has swept the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Baseball East Division Player and Pitcher of the Week awards after Ryan Bradford and Victor Christal earned Week 10 honors following a four-game sweep for the Cavaliers over Allen Community College.

This is the fourth time Bradford has been selected, and the first for Christal.

Bradford continues to hit the cover off the ball, posting a .538 batting average as part of a four-game sweep of Allen last week. Helping the number one-ranked Cavaliers extend their winning streak to 22 straight games, Bradford had a .647 on-base percentage and a 1.308 slugging percentage after going seven-for-13 at the plate. Bradford recorded one double, three home runs, three walks, nine runs scored, and eight runs driven in. Through 40 games this season, Bradford is batting .479 (70-for-146) with 19 doubles, four triples, 23 homers, 71 runs, and 70 RBI. He leads all NJCAA Division 1 players in total bases (166) and runs, while ranking second in hits and home runs, third in slugging percentage, fourth in RBI, and fifth in doubles.

Christal was dominant in his start against Allen, tossing five shutout innings while striking out a season-high 10 batters and allowing just two hits. With the victory, Christal improved to 7-0 on the season and upped his strikeout total to 57, which ranks second in the KJCCC this season.
