OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — Top‑ranked Johnson County Community College continued its dominant run Friday at JCCC, sweeping Southwestern Community College in a conference doubleheader to push its winning streak to 25 consecutive games.

The Cavaliers claimed a 6–2 victory in Game 1 before erupting for a 13–2 win in the nightcap, staying unbeaten in conference play and reinforcing their standing as the nation's top team.

Johnson County used timely power and shutdown relief pitching to pull away from Southwestern in the opener.

After the Spartans scored a run early, JCCC responded with a pair of runs in the third inning and never trailed again. Ryan Bradford led the offense, going 3-for-4 with two home runs and two RBIs, accounting for a third of the Cavaliers' runs.

Briggs Roe added a key three‑run homer as part of a 2-for-3 performance, while Brayden Giesler collected two hits and scored twice.

On the mound, Ashton Nance allowed just one hit in his two innings of work. Brett Pearcy earned the win in relief, and Keston Holman closed the door by retiring every batter he faced over 3.2 scoreless innings, striking out one to earn the save as JCCC held Southwestern to just two hits in the game.

The Cavaliers left no doubt in Game 2, piling up 17 hits and scoring in four different innings to complete the sweep.

JCCC jumped out early and broke the game open with a five‑run burst in the fifth inning, highlighted by extra‑base hits up and down the lineup.

Ashton Hartwig powered the offense, finishing 3-for-4 with a home run and four RBIs, while Colin Coonradt crushed two home runs and drove in two. His homers were the 26 and 27th of the seeason, setting a new team record. Bradford stayed hot with another two‑RBI performance, and Giesler doubled, tripled and drove in two.

Lukas Wilson and Roe each added multi‑hit games, as nine different Cavaliers recorded a hit.

The pitching staff matched the offensive effort. Victor Christal struck out five over three scoreless innings to earn the win, and the bullpen trio of Cale Sudderth, Cooper Frazier and Hudson Byrd limited Southwestern to two unearned runs while combining for eight strikeouts.

With the sweep, Johnson County improves to 41-2, continuing one of the most impressive runs in the country this season.
