Five players named ABCA/Rawlings Baseball All-Americans

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The postseason honors continue to roll in for the 2026 National Junior College Athletic Association National Champion Johnson County Community College baseball program as a record five players earned American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings All-America.

Freshman outfielder Ryan Bradford, sophomore first baseman Colin Coonradt and sophomore third baseman Logan Groh were first-team selections. Sophomore left-handed pitcher Liam Roche and freshman right-handed pitcher Ashton Nance landed on the third-team. All five were also earned the same distinction by the NJCAA a week earlier.  

Bradford, who also was named the Division I Baseball Player of the Year by the NJCAA, ABCA/Rawlings and Perfect Game, delivered a historic season. He batted .437 (114-for 261) with 24 doubles, six triples, 42 home runs, 72 extra base hits, 128 runs scored and 113 driven in. His 42 homers set new team, KJCCC and NJCAA records and is one of only five players in college baseball history to hit 40+ home runs in a single season. His 113 RBI tied the program record, tied for second in the conference and tied for the sixth-most in NJCAA history. Bradford led conference in triples, home runs, extra base hits, slugging percentage (1.057), RBI and runs scored. He was second in hits, doubles and walks and third in batting average. Nationally, he led in home runs, runs scored and extra base hits. He was second in slugging percentage and RBI and third in hits. During the season, Bradford set team records for the longest hitting streak at 31 games, most consecutive games with an RBI (28), runs scored and multiple home runs (9).  His 38th home run may have been the biggest swing of the season. With JCCC down to its final at bat, Bradford launched a walk-off grand slam to complete an 11-9 comeback victory over Barton to keep JCCC alive in the Region 6/Plains District Tournament.  Bradford also earned All-KJCCC and All-Region 6 first-team honors along with KJCCC Freshman of the Year,

Coonradt, who was named the KJCCC East MVP and All-Region 6 first-team, batted .430 (98-for-228) with 17 doubles, two triples, 37 home runs, 55 extra base hits, 61 walks, 105 runs scored and 109 driven in. He produced 33 multiple-hit games, which tied for third on the team, and 33 multiple-hit games, second-most on the team. Coonradt led the conference in on-base percentage (.567) and walks, ranked second in home runs, extra base hits and runs. He was third in RBI and slugging percentage (1.009), fourth in hit and sixth in batting average. Nationally he ranked second in home runs, fourth in walks, fifth in RBI and slugging percentage and ninth in hits. His 37 homers also tie for ninth most all-time in college baseball history at any level, and tie for second-most by a two-year player. On JCCC's season charts, he set a record for walks, ranks second in home runs, multiple home run games (8), runs scored and multiple-RBI games. He is third in RBI and multiple-hit games and fourth in hits.

Groh, also collected All-KJCCC and All-Region 6 first-team honors, led the team with a .446 average (120-for-269), adding 19 doubles, five triples, and 25 home runs. His 49 extra-base hits, 100 runs scored, and 113 RBI highlighted a dominant offensive campaign. Groh compiled a program-record 42 multi-hit games and set another single-season mark with 35 multi-RBI games. He also led the team, conference, and NJCAA in hits while tying for the lead in RBI at both the team and conference levels and finishing tied for second nationally. On JCCC's season chart, Groh set new season marks for at bats and hits and tied the season record for RBI. He ranks third in runs scored, fourth in extra base hits, fifth in home runs and tied for sixth in multiple home run games. In conference history, he ranks third all-time in hits and runs and is tied for third in RBI. 

Roche, also collected All-KJCCC and All-Region 6 first-team honors and KJCCC Co-Pitcher of the Year, made 19 appearances on the mound, 18 as a starter. He finished a perfect 16-0 with three complete games and one shutout. Roche struck out 120 batters, which led the conference and NJCAA and set a team record.  He also only allowed 29 walks over 78.1 innings pitch while posting an earned run average of 4.02. Roche also led both the conference and NJCAA in victories, was third in the conference in innings pitched and sixth in ERA. On JCCC's season charts he set new pitching records for wins and strikeouts and tied the records for fewest losses and game started. His 16 wins are also a new record in the conference, and his 120 strikeouts are the ninth-most in a season in KJCCC history.

Nance, also collected All-KJCCC and All-Region 6 first-team honors, made 19 appearances on the mound, 18 as a starter. He finished with a perfect 14-0 record with 92 strikeouts over 84.1 innings pitched with an earned run average of 3.95. He pitched three complete games with led the staff, and he recorded the most innings. Nance was second on the team in and third in strikeouts. He led the conference in total innings, was second in wins, third in ERA and fourth in strikeouts. Nationally he ranked third in wins, eight in innings pitched and 24th in strikeouts. Nance's 14 victories rank second all-time on JCCC's season chart, and his zero losses and 18 starts tie the program records.  He also ranks tied for seventh in team history total innings pitched, and 13th in season strikeouts. Among the all-time leaders in the conference, his 14 wins tie for second most all-time.
