Zach Todd was the No. 7 ranked right-handed pitcher in the state of Kansas and the No. 20 overall prospect in the state according to Perfect Game … Originally signed with the University of Central Missouri … Started out as a two-way player but is now focused on only pitching, and has really honed his craft … Plus command, off speed and a 90 mph fastball.

Sophomore Year 2020

Made five appearances all as a starter … Finished 2-1 with earned run average of 8.53, with 17 strikeouts in 12.2 innings pitched … Allowed 13 runs, 12 earned, 12 hits and issued 16 walks … Was the winning pitcher in his debut, allowing two hits and no runs with four strikeout over 3.0 innings in an 11-0 win at Brookhaven (2-7-20) … Did not get the decision in a 10-3 win over Ellsworth, but struck out a season-high nine batter while allowing just two run, one earned in 3.0 innings of work (2-17-20) … Allowed just one hit and no runs over 3.0 innings, and struck out five to improve to 2-0 in a 21-1 win over Southwestern (2-22-20) … Took the loss against State Fair allowing eight earned runs, with five walks over 2.2 innings (3-10-20) ... Earned JCCC student-athlete academic honors in the fall 2019 semester ... Earned NJCAA All-Academic Second-Team with a grade point aveage between 3.80-3.99.

Freshman Year 2019

Made two relief appearances on the hill for coach Kyle Crookes at Central Missouri State University, Warrensburg, Mo. … Was part of a Mules’ team that finished 46-16 overall and 24-9 in MIAA play … Logged 1.1 innings and allowed one hit, five runs, one earned, four walks and three strike outs … Finished with an earned run average of 6.75 … Held batters two .143 average …  Made his collegiate debut in an 11-3 win at Texas A&M-Kingsville (2-2-19) … Allowed four runs, one earned, off a hit and two walks in a third of inning pitched … Allowed one unearned run and struck out three pitching the final inning in a 19-2 win over Minnesota-Crookston (2-14-19).

High School 

Was a three-year starter for coach Todd Reed at Shawnee Mission West High School, Overland Park, Kan. … Graduated 2018 … Selected first-team All-State by the Kansas Association of Baseball Coaches his senior year … Earned American Family Insurance All-USA Kansas Baseball second-team as a senior … Was a first-team All-Sunflower League selection and voted the Sunflower League Player of the Year as a senior … Earned second-team All-Sunflower League as a junior and sophomore … Became just the third player in Shawnee Mission West history to hit for  cycle with a double, home run, triple and a single with five RBI’s in a 14-3 win over Gardner-Edgerton his senior season … Hit .354 (23-for-65) with seven doubles two triples, a home run, and 21 driven in a senior … Led the team in innings pitched with 35.0 , strikeouts with 48, earned run average at 2.00 and tied for the lead in wins with two, finishing 2-4 overall … Hit .349 (22-for-63) with nine doubles, three triples, a home run and 14 driven in as a junior … His nine doubles tie him for fifth all-time on the Vikings season chart, and his seven doubles as a senior tied for 21^st on the all-time … His three triples as a junior tied for 12^th all-time for a season … As a junior led the pitching staff in innings with 38.1, strikeouts with 29 and posted a 2-3 record …  Led the Vikings in runs scored his junior and senior seasons with 26 and 23 respectively … Batted .327 (18-for-55) with four doubles, a triple, 14 runs and 16 driven in as a sophomore … On the mound was 1-1 with a team-high three saves and 18 strikeouts in 26.2 innings pitched … Batted .344 for his career (63 for-183) with 20 doubles, six triples, two home runs, 63 runs and 51 driven … Played club baseball for Mac-N-Seitz Elite and Blue Chip Baseball ...
