OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Johnson County Community College freshman guard Jade Warren has been named the first Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division II Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the 2025-26 season after helping lead the No. 1-ranked Cavaliers to a pair of win at the Highland Classic last weekend. Garden City's Sokhna Ndiaye was the KJCCC D-I selection.

Warren got her collegiate career off to a strong start over the weekend, averaging 15.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.5 assists while connecting on an impressive 85.7 percent of her shot attempts in JCCC's two victories.

In a 70-65 win over NJCAA Division I Murray State College, Warren went six-of-seven from the field and three-of-four from the line for 15 points, while also contributing five rebounds, two assists, and a block. A day later, in a 99-61 romp over Central Community College, Warren matched her offensive output from the previous day by scoring 15 points on six-of-seven shooting and three-of-four free throws, while adding one rebound and three assists.
