Stricklin scored 25 as No. 1 JCCC rolls past Highland, 108-39

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Kara Stricklin poured in 25 points to lead the No. 1-ranked Johnson County Community College women's basketball team to a 108-39 rout over Highland Community College, improving  the Cavaliers to 25-0 on the season.

Stricklin connected on 9-of-12 shots from the field, including 5-of-7 from three-point range, tying her career high in scoring. She also contributed six assists and five rebounds in the victory.

Layla Scott followed with 17 points, six rebounds and four assists, while Mia Adams added 16 points. Anonda Ford chipped in nine points and nine rebounds.

Johnson County's bench provided a strong spark as Layla Barnes scored 10 points and Joycelyn Moore posted nine points, 10 rebounds and seven assists.

Brittany Jones led Highland with 12 points.

With the win, the Cavaliers extended their regular-season winning streak to 87 games and their conference winning streak to 36.
