Warren nabs second KJCCC D-II Women’s Basketball Player of the Week honor

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – For the second time this season, Johnson County Community College freshman guard Jade Warren has been selected the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division II Women's Basketball Player of the Week. She earned her first honor in week one.   Esme Smith of Coffeyville Community College earned the KJCCC D-I honor.

Last week Warren came off the bench to spark the Cavaliers with a season-hight19 points and seven rebounds in an 85-57 win over Wabash Valley and helped lead a balanced attack with 16 points in a 107-35 route of Sauk Valley last weekend at the Moberly Area Classic. Warren connected on 52 percent of her shot attempts over the two contests, helping JCCC improve to a perfect 11-0 this season.

For the season Warren is averaging 11.2 points per game while connecting on 54 percent of the shot attempts. She has scored in double figures in seven games.
