Was a three-year starter for coach Tony Reeder at Collinsville High School, Collinsville, Okla. … Graduated 2019 … Turned in an impressive prep career for Collinsville, including a banner senior campaign that saw the two-way threat hit .505 with eight homers and 57 RBIs, while going  8-1 on the mound, allowing only four earned runs all season to earn Oklahoma District 5A-4 player of the year honors ... Was also a first-team All-State selection … Struck out 62 batters over 39 innings, and posted an ERA of 0.36 his senior year … Helped the Cardinals reach the state 5A semifinals ...
