OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Johnson County sophomore goalkeeper Brandon McGaugh has been selected the Kansas Jayhawk Conference Division I Goalkeeper of the Week for the second consecutive week.
McGaugh nabbed the week 5 honor after stopping all six shots he faced to preserve a 1-0 shutout over cross-town rival Kansas City Kansas Wednesday, September 14. It was his third straight shutout win this season and fifth of his career. McGaugh currently ranks second in the KJCCC in saves (36), save percentage (.818) and is fourth in goals against average (1.09).
McGaugh was also the keeper of the week in fourth week after stopping all four shots he faced in a 4-0 shutout over Central.
