JCCC sweeps week two KJCCC D-II Men’s Soccer POW honors

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -  Following a home-opening win, Johnson County Community College swept the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division II Men's Soccer Player of the Week awards. Freshman Khoi Woods and freshman goalkeeper Daniel Wozniak were each recognized for their outstanding performances in the Cavaliers 4-2 victory over Southeastern. 

Khoi Woods – KJCCC D-II Player of the Week
Khoi Woods, a standout player out of Olathe North, earned his first points of his collegiate career in JCCC win over Southeastern. Woods set up Peyton McCawley for the equalizer in the 63rd minute to tie the game at 2-2, then added an insurance goal in the 82nd minute to seal the 4-2 victory. 

Daniel Wozniak – KJCCC D-II Goalkeeper of the Week
Freshman goalkeeper Daniel Wozniak stopped eight of the 10 shots he faced, including all four in the second half to hold Southeastern and lead JCCC to a 4-2 victory, their first of the season.  Wozniak is 1-1-0 on the season with a goals against average of 1.50 and .769 save percentage.
