JCCC’s Kael Drummond selected United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-American

The photo captures an intense moment during a soccer match. Two players are airborne, competing for a header. The player in white, wearing jersey number 8 with the word “CAVALIERS” visible on the back, is slightly higher than the player in blue, who is also jumping to challenge for the ball. The soccer ball is in mid-air above them.
In the background, there are two additional players in blue jerseys standing on the field, and a scoreboard partially visible behind a brick wall. The setting appears to be an outdoor soccer field with green trees and a clear sky, suggesting good weather conditions. The overall scene conveys athletic action and competition.

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – United Soccer Coaches recently announced its 2025 United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-Americans  for all levels of college soccer, and Johnson County Community College sophomore midfielder Kael Drummond was named to the first-team for two-year men's college soccer. It is the fourth consecutive year that head coach Jeff Cole has had a student-athlete selected as a scholar All-American.

Student-athletes on this year's Scholar All-America Teams will be formally acknowledged for their accomplishments on the field and in the classroom at the United Soccer Coaches All-America Ceremony & Reception on Saturday, January 17, 2026, in Philadelphia, Pa., in conjunction with the United Soccer Coaches Convention.

Earlier this month, Drummond was selected to the organizations selected to the organization's 2025 Two-Year Division II All-America Team, becoming the  sixth player in team history to earn All-America recognition and the second under head coach Jeff Cole. In addition to All-America honors, Drummond earned first-team All-Kansas Jayhawk Conference Division II and All-Region 6 recognition for his performance in 2025.  Last May, he also earned NJCAA All-Academic honors.

Drummond capped an exceptional sophomore campaign by leading a Cavaliers squad that finished 13-5-4, captured the Region 6 Championship, and ended the year ranked No. 15 in NJCAA Division II.

The Mill Valley product recorded two goals—including one game-winner—and one assist, while anchoring a defensive unit that produced eight shutouts, leading the conference and ranking 13th nationally. The Cavaliers also posted a 1.36 goals-against average.
