OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Johnson County sophomore guard Tymer Jackson has named the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Men's Division II Basketball Player of the Week for week four. This is his first selection this season. He was selected three times during the 2021-22 season.
Last week Jackson averaged 26.5 points, shot 41 percent from the field and 85 percent at the line last week for Johnson County. He opened the week with 35 points to lead the Cavaliers to a 67-56 road victory over Metropolitan, and followed with a season-high 28 points in a narrow overtime setback at North Central Missouri.
Jackson currently ranks second in KJCCC D-II in scoring, averaging 20.3 points. He has scored in double figures in nine of the 10 games this season.
