Traymond Willis-Shaw comes from a prep program with a rich basketball tradition … Defensively very active, communicating well with teammates and well as causing numerous disruptions on that end of floor by altering and blocking shots … A good finisher in transition … Provides energy on the floor … Possesses nice height and a very long wingspan … Aggressive attacking the rim … Still learning but is getting better and better and has the potential to be a solid D-I prospect and the tools to be successful. 

Sophomore Year 2023-24

Helped lead the Cavaliers to a 28-7 record, a district championship, and a berth to the NJCAA Division II National Tournament … Played in 30 games … Averaged 6.5 points, 3.2 rebounds, 0.9 assists, 0.6 steals and 13.6 minutes … Upped his scoring average to 7.2 in conference play … Was the top shot blocker on the team with 22, which ranked seventh in the conference … Scored in double figures in seven games … Led the team in rebounds twice, once in assists and team-beat 12 times in blocks … Opened the season with four points and four rebounds in a 91-82 win over North Arkansas (11-3-23) … Followed with 13 points, hitting 5-of-8 shot with three 3-pointers in a 77-59 win at North Central Missouri (11-4-23) … Had 10 points and four boards in a 67-66 win over Iowa Lakes (11-10-23) … The next day had 10 points, six rebounds and four assists in a 126-62 blowout over Ottawa JV (11-11-23) … Finished with 12 points and four rebounds in a 95-56 win over OnPoint Academy (11-17-23) … Hit all four shots, including three 3-pointers, and grabbed a season-high seven rebounds in a 98-64 win over Saint Mary JV (11-21-23) … Recorded back-to-back 13-point efforts in wins over Hesston (1-31-24) and at Neosho County (2-3-24) …. Drained 6-of-8 shots with three treys and a free throw to post a season a season-high 16 points in a 102-78 blowout over Allen (2-14-24) … Contributed 15 points, five rebounds and two steals in a 78-46 win at Hesston (2-24-24).

Freshman Year 2022-23 at Neosho County

Played in 22 games, 16 as a starter, for coach Taylor Shaffer at Neosho County Community College, Chanute, Kan. … Averaged 9.6 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.1 blocks and 0.5 steals … Shot 39.7 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from 3-point range … Made 35 3-point baskets, fourth-most on the team … Scored double figures in 10 games, and hit 20+ points three times … First hit double figures with 10 points in a 75-72 loss to Kansas Wesleyan JV (11-3-22) … Tallied 14 points, eight rebounds and three blocks in an 85-79 loss to North Arkansas (12-1-22) … Followed with 14 points and four blocks in a 103-61 win over Bethany JV (12-5-22) … Poured in a season-high 24 points to lead the Panthers to a 100-51 victory over Bethany JV (12-10-22) … Was 9-of-14 from the field, 4-of-6 from 3-point range, 2-of-2 at the line, and grabbed five rebounds … Also hit 9-of-14 shots and 4-of-6 treys for 22 points and grabbed eight rebounds in a 105-52 win over Baptist Bible (1-12-23) … Knocked down 4-of-5 3-pointers for 14 points in an 81-64 loss at Fort Scott (1-21-23) … Led the Panthers to an 82-68 victory over Hesston with 21 points, five assists, four rebounds and three blocks (2-8-23) … Posted 13 points and five boards in a 78-77 win over Fort Scott (2-15-23). 

Freshman Year 2020-21 at Cape Fear

Attended Cape Fear Community College … Played in one game before taking a redshirt season … Hit all three field goals attempts, including a 3-pointer, for seven points.

Was a three-year starter and four-time letter winner for coach George Stackhouse at Westover High School, Fayetteville, N.C. … Named All-Patriot Athletic Conference first-team as a junior and senior … Was named to the North Carolina roster for the Carolina’s All-Star Basketball Classic his senior year … Was a major reason Westover rolled to the Patriot Athletic Conference regular season title and a spot in the 2020 North Carolina High School Athletic Association Men’s 3A State Championship with a 30-0 record when the game was cancelled due to the COVID pandemic  … The Wolverines were declared 3A Co-State Champions by the NCHSAA in late April and six months later received their state championship rings …  Averaged 17.5 points and seven rebounds per as a senior … Also recorded 60 steals …  As a junior averaged 12.3 points, six rebounds and 2.1 assists … Averaged 10 points and four rebounds as a sophomore Also played with Team United and Team Wall on the AAU circuit … Honor roll student.
