OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Johnson County Community College freshman guard Gavin Harvey has been selected the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division II Men's Basketball Player of the Week for week 12. This is his first selection.

Harvey was a key player in helping lead number 10 Johnson County to a pair of conference wins last week. On Wednesday night at Fort Scott Harvey poured in 19 points to go along with four rebounds and three assists in a 90-77 victory. On Saturday, Harvey accomplished something that had only been done four times in program history by recording a 10 point, 10 rebound, 13 assists triple-double to lead JCCC to a 77-62 win over Hesston. His 13 assists is tied for ninth all-time on Johnson County's single game chart.
