OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Johnson County Community College Tavian Cruse has been selected the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division II Men's Basketball Player of the Week for week 5.

The sophomore forward helped power the number three-ranked Cavaliers to an 85-79 comeback victory at Metropolitan Community College last week with a monster double-double of 22 points and 15 rebounds. Cruse made nine-of-16 shots and connected on four of seven free throw attempts.

For the season, Cruse averages 14.9 points and a conference-best 8.5 rebounds per game.
