Cavaliers crush Baker 103-55 to extend unbeaten start

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The No. 3-ranked Johnson County Community College men's basketball team cruised to a 103-55 victory over Baker University Friday night, improving to 11-0 on the season.

Freshman forward Bryce Walker led the Cavaliers attack with a season-high 19 points off the bench, hitting 8-of-14 shots, including a 3-pointer and two free throws. He also grabbed eight rebounds.

Sophomore guard Aidan Wing delivered another efficient performance, going 8-of-12 shots from the field and finishing with17 points, eight rebounds, four steals and three assists.

Sophomore forward Tavian Cruse recorded his third double-double of the season, posting 13 points and 11 rebounds and blocked three shots. Sophomore guard Gavin Harvey chipped in 11 points and four assists while sophomore forward Aziz Jagne turned in his best performance of the year with 11 points and nine boards – both season highs.

Baker freshman guard Jackson Ford scored 31 of the Wildcats' 55 points. His performance set a new record for the most points scored by an opposing player in the eight-game series, surpassing the previous mark of 22.

Johnson County will host Sterling College JV on December 9 and Metropolitan Community College  on December 13 before heading into the holiday break.
